About

The Author

Ishita is a dual-qualified lawyer in the UK and India, currently practising in London. She began her legal career in Mumbai and has worked across fast-paced corporate environments in both cities. While she enjoys the structure and challenge of law, yoga has become central to how she lives and thinks. It has helped her understand and prioritise life’s many demands, offering clarity in moments where everything seems urgent at once.

For Ishita, yoga isn’t separate from her professional life — it’s what helps her manage it with clarity and calm. Over the years, it has evolved from a personal practice into something much deeper: a framework for living well.

Her aim is to share this knowledge in a way that feels practical and accessible, without losing the depth of the original teachings. Now, more than ever, with the pressures of fast-paced living, social media influences, and constant competition, this wisdom matters. It shouldn’t be reserved for scholars or diluted of its meaning — it needs to be understood, applied, and kept alive.

Book Reviews

Swati Jaiswal

“The Inner Circuit” offers a refreshing and empowering alternative, in a world obsessed with external validation and quick-fix solutions. Ishita emphasizes the importance of understanding our own thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, by becoming more attuned to our internal dialogue and identifying patterns that cultivate a more positive and resilient mindset. The author's approach resonates with the growing movement towards self-reliance and holistic well-being. The book challenges the stigmatized notion of seeking professional help, suggesting that while therapy can be beneficial, it's not the only path to mental clarity.

I picked up this book out of curiosity and was eager to give it a go. I am glad I did. The Inner Circuit is a perfect blend of practical tips to attain zen mode and the science behind such tips. While the various yogic techniques elucidated in the book have been in practice for over thousands of years, I thoroughly enjoyed reading about them in the author’s contemporary style proving that these techniques are still relevant in this fast-paced world. As someone who has 100 tabs open on my mental browser, the book was very much the chicken soup needed for my scientific soul.
